Scholarships and Funding
Oregon State University offers several scholarships and tuition remission1 programs that award qualified international students with award amounts that range from $500 to over $12,000 per academic year, and may be awarded one time only or renewable for up to four years.
Some scholarships are only available to newly admitted international undergraduate students; whereas, other scholarships are only available to continuing students. Some scholarships are highly competitive and require a separate application, while others may be awarded based on your previous grades. In general, International Programs administered scholarships (for example, the Provost International and ICSP scholarships) cannot be combined. For further information, please view the links below.

Graduate students may be offered a teaching or research assistantship on campus. Graduate Assistantships (GA) are normally granted by the student's academic department. GA's receive a monthly salary, full tuition remission, and subsidized health insurance costs. Availability of graduate assistantships varies greatly by department. You may indicate your interest in an assistantship on your application for admission. You may also contact your prospective department directly for more information.

[1] Tuition remission means that one is released from the obligation to pay tuition. Tuition remission may be partial, for example 50% of the total cost, or a certain amount such as $2,000 per academic year.
